Federal Way Dance--Friday 8/1 at 9 pm at the Federal Way Stake Center (34815 Weyerhaeuser Way S Federal Way)
Bellevue Dance--Friday 8/8 from 8:30 pm-12:30 am at the Bellevue South Stake Center (building behind the temple).
Swila Ball--Saturday 8/9 at the North Seattle Stake Center (5701 8th Ave NE Seattle). Dance instruction from 8:30-9:30 pm then dancing from 9:30-11:30--DJ'd music for partner dancing. Potluck treats. Open to all--singles and marrieds.
Everett Dance--Friday 8/15 at 7:30 pm at the Everett Stake Center (9509 19th Ave SE Everett). Workshops and Dance! Come for workshops beginning at 7:30 pm. Choose 2 series being offered: Financial Preparedness or Home Organization. Learn some helpful tips. Dancing and refreshments will follow at 9:30ish.
Tacoma Dance--Friday 8/22 from 9-midnight at the Tacoma South Building (2445 S. 78th St. Tacoma).
Arlington Activity and Dance--Friday 8/22 at 9:30 pm the Arlington Stake Center (17222 43rd Ave NE Arlington). Hoedown! Come and show your talent or discover your talent during the dance instruction. Enjoy the entertainment, friendships and the kind of food cowboys like.
Sunday 8/3 at 7 pm at the Tacoma Stake Center (12th & Pearl)
Sunday 8/10 at 7 pm at the Arlington Stake Center (17222 43rd Ave NE Arlington). Brother Mike Rounds of the Marysville Stake, a regular favorite, will be the speaker. His topic will be focused on Church History. After the fireside, there will be refreshments and an opportunity to visit with friends.
Sunday 8/17 at 7 pm at the North Seattle Stake Center (5701 8th Ave NE Seattle). Featuring Dean Hughes, well known author and lecturer--"History May Be Searched in Vain: The March of the Mormon Battalion". Members of all ages and their friends are invited to attend this fireside sponsored by the Seattle Washington North Stake Single Adult Committee.
Sunday 8/24 from 6:30-8 pm at the Seattle Stake Center (14020 Ambaum Blvd SW Burien). Featuring Phil and Joy McMillin. Come and hear about the former Seattle Stake President and his wife share stories about their time as Mission President in the Democratic Republic of Congo Lubumbashi Mission. Refreshments will be served.
Single Adult Family Picnic at Fort Flager--Saturday 8/2 from 10 am-5 pm at Fort Flager in Norland, WA (http://www.parks.wa.gov/508/Fort-Flagler). Highlights include lunch, speed boats, inner tubing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, guided historic park tour and field games. Beach Party at Ocean Shores--Saturday 8/9 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at the Ocean Shores North Beach Entrance. Activities: kite flying, volleyball, frisbee, ocean wading, beach combing, sand castles. Food: burgers, buns, condiments & punch provided. All other food is potluck: A-J=Salads, K-O=Chips, P-Z Desserts. RSVP by calling Cynthia Bingham at 360-880-6784.
Bowman Bay Activity--Saturday 8/9, starting at 10 am, lunch at 12:30 pm. Come & join us for the annual Bowman Bay activity for singles and their children (near Deception Pass-- 5175 Hwy. 20 Oak Harbor, WA). Meat, buns & paper goods provided. Side dishes and dessert are potluck. There will be boating activities, so bring a life jacket for you and/or children, if you're able. You'll need a $10 Discover Day Pass to get into the park. Single Adult Annual Kayak Trip--Saturday 8/16 from 12 pm-5 pm. Meet at the Olympic Outlet Center in Poulsbo. Kayak from Poulsbo to Keyport, then have lunch at the restaurants near the dock and then kayak back. Bring cash--this speeds up the process! Fees: Single Kayak=$40, Double Kayak=$54 ($27 each), Paddleboard=$40, Drysuit=$25, Wetsuit=$15
Temple Service Project & BBQ--Saturday 8/16. Grab your work gloves, your kids, and your appetite! Come join other single adults in a service project to clean and beautify the Seattle Temple Grounds. Service from 10 am-Noon followed by a great-tasting BBQ from noon-1pm. Sponsored by the Federal Way Multi-Stake Single Adult Committee. Hope to see you there!
