SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2019: SAVE THE DATE for the 2nd Annual Single Adult Luau complete with roasted pig & Polynesian dancing!
The island fun begins at 4:30 p.m. at the home of the Cowan’s located at 1541 Ft. Nugent Road, Oak Harbor, WA 98277-7165, on beautiful Whidbey Island! Children & Young Single Adults are welcome! *(If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Luau will be moved to the Oak Harbor Stake Center located at 201 NE O'Leary Street, Oak Harbor.) The Luau ends at 7:00 p.m. A dance will follow at the Oak Harbor Stake Center beginning at 8:00 p.m.
All are encouraged to wear island (or colorful) garb! There will be a rock painting activity – so bring a rock if you (or your children) would like to get creative!
Side dishes & desserts are potluck. Due to severe allergies of some members of the committee no onions, peanuts or ginger please. Please bring your own chair to the Luau.
If you’d like to learn & participate in some of the Polynesian dances that will be shared at the Luau please contact Alofa Tupu to find out when instruction & practice(s) will take place. (See below for her contact information.)
This fun, delicious event & lovely island setting are worth gathering some friends to carpool with and join us that day!
