Late Registration

On Wednesday, September 2, 12:00 am, Late Registration will end and online registration will briefly close.

Walk-on Registration

On Friday, September 4, 3:00 pm, Walk-on Registration will start here online and at camp.  

Delays will occur for walk-on registration and check-in as a Bishop's confirmation will be required.  To avoid delays in walk-on registration and check-in prior to your arrival, please have your Bishop leave a voicemail at (253) 242-3014 confirming your attendance this year.

Camp Check-In

Check-in will start 3:00 pm, Friday, September 4.  

Check-in will close daily from 9:00 pm - 6:00 am (Friday will stay open longer depending on volume).  

At Check-in a vehicle registration card will be assigned to you.  You will also receive a packet with name badges and camp information.  

The registration desk will be able to help with any questions throughout your stay.  

Camp Departure

Camp departure time is 10:00 am, Monday, September 7.  Please have your accommodations clean before leaving.  For those who have been assigned special accommodations, please call (253) 242-3014 and confirm your departure.

For life-threatening-emergencies call 911 then notify Ensign Ranch staff at (509) 656-2344.  Our first aid volunteer is Dr. Snow.  For non-life-threatening emergencies visit the First Aid office by the registration table.

Our security volunteer is Brother Noble.  Please report any unsafe or conflicting circumstances at the Registration Table.

The front gate of Ensign Ranch will be closed each day from 9:00 pm - 6:00 am.  

Security will be available to let vehicles leave and re-enter the grounds during this time.  Vehicles will be checked back into camp by showing their vehicle registration card (you will receive this card at camp check-in).

Parents, please note that you are responsible for supervising your children during camp.  Event staff at places such as the water slide and other stations are there to checkout equipment and provide logistical assistance, and are not able to provide childcare supervision.  The two exceptions are the Single Adult Dance Saturday and church Sunday School classes where there will be designated childcare volunteers available.  Outside of those two exceptions please help us maintain safety by ensuring that you are aware of your children's location and activities at all times.

We encourage parents to write their name and cell phone number on the back of child name badges.  Those volunteering to work with children and youth must take, and be current in the Church’s online ‘Protecting Children and Youth’ training program if they have not already done so.

The camp speed limit for vehicles is 10 MPH or less to kick up minimal dust. Please drive cautiously and yield right away to pedestrians. Do not park on roads, lawns, or block traffic; doing so will risk your vehicle being towed.  

NO campfires are allowed as there is an active burn ban.

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHAT I SHOULD BRING?

• Shower shoes (bare feet are not allowed in the showers), towel, and all other shower and personal care products

• Rubber grip socks for waterslide

• A personal extension cord for CPAP machines

• Extra mat/bedding for all accommodations from tent camping to Lodge bunks

• Sunscreen, water bottle, hat

• Flashlight

• Backup camping tent if you have not been assigned reserved lodging

• Clothes for the weekend including Sunday dress for Church, comfortable walking shoes

• Temple recommend (required) for brethren helping out with Sacrament

• Personal snacks

UNRESERVED

All campsites and units not listed above are open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis.  Read below for details on how many units are available per campsite.  It is recommended to bring a backup camping tent in chance a unit you are after is taken.

HOUSE KEEPING

We ask that you please clean and dispose of trash from personal campsites and lodgings while using and leaving your accommodations.  All outhouses have a list of cleaning instructions/supplies.  Please help keep your campsite outhouse clean and toilet free of trash (i.e., diapers, etc.).

CAMPSITES

Ayatma Campsite

Total capacity 212.  Wall tents B6-B8, C9, C12, D15, E20, G25-26, G28, H29-30.  Large wall tents C10, D16, E18.  Cabanas are all reserved.

Wall tents (16’x20’, 12x16’) in clusters.  Covered dining/meeting pavilion with electricity and steel picnic tables.  Large lawn-area; covered craft shelter with tables.  Platform-type rope-swing; trail access from camp to archery range, ropes course, and reflection areas.  Fire pit and 2-3 picnic tables at each cluster.  Potable water faucets and portable chemical toilets conveniently located throughout camp.  Restroom/showers adjacent to the campsite.  Outdoor Gathering Center (OGC) within camp – stage with electricity, PA system, fire pit, flagpole; benches terraced into hillside.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed near the campsite (please return unused wood to shed).  Trash must be bagged and put in a garbage cage; haul trash to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Parking at campsites w/additional parking and overflow parking nearby. 

Beaver Lodge Island Campsite

Total capacity 60.  Tent sites 1-4.

Parking area adjacent island with potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets.  Restroom/shower facility located at Lodge.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed near Family Cabins (please return unused wood to shed.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.

Far West Campsite

Total capacity 100.  Tent sites 1-10.

WARNING: Lake shorelines drop off quickly and the lake is deep.  Swimming is allowed, but must be watchfully supervised.  Hikers should watch out for marsh with deep mud where water flows into the west end of the lake.

Isolated pack-in/out camping sites for individual, family, or group tent camping.  Picnic table and fire-pit at each campsite.  Outdoor Gathering Center (OGC) in the center of the campsite with stage, fire pit, benches, and flagpole.  Benches hold approximately 80 people.  Water faucet is also available.  No electricity.  Potable water faucets and portable chemical toilets are located in the parking area.  Restroom/shower facility located on Middle Road.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed near Family Cabins (please return unused wood to shed).  Meadow adjacent Far West Lake for overflow camping.    

Grotto Campsite

Total capacity 110.  Tent sites 1-4, 6-11.  Tent site 5 is reserved for camp purposes.

Tent camping sites for individual, family, or group tent camping.  Campsites 6, 7, 8, and 9 are located along the banks of the Yakima River.  Parking, picnic table, and fire pit at each campsite.  Restroom/shower facility located on Middle Road (short walking distance).  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets at the center of the campsite.  Trash MUST be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed in Ayatma campsite (please return unused wood to shed).

Jacob’s Grove Campsite

Total Capacity 130.  Tent sites 1-13.

CAUTION: Campsites 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are located along steep banks of the Yakima River and do not have barriers.

Tent camping sites for individual, family, or group camping.  Parking, picnic table, parking at each campsite.  Restroom/shower facility located on Middle Road (short walking distance).  Potable water faucet and potable chemical toilets at each end of the campsite.  Outdoor Gathering Center in the center (OGC) of the campsite; NO electricity.  Has a fire pit and benches (seats 30).  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.   Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed in Trillium campsite (please return unused wood to shed).

Lockamora Campsite                                                                    

Total capacity 318.  Cabanas 26, 29, 31.  A-frames 3, 5, 7, 14, 18, 20, 25, 27, 28, 32.  Wall tents 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 10-13, 15-17. 19, 21-24, 30, 33-35.

The village is made up of A-frame shelters (sleeps 8 to 10).   A-frame shelters have a built-in sleeping deck under each wing of the “A”, plus a loft accessed with a ladder.  Some are handicap accessible.  Village is also made up of canvas wall tents (12’x16’ on platforms).  Covered dining/meeting pavilion with electricity and steel picnic tables.  Restroom/shower facility (short walking distance).  Outdoor Gathering Center (OGC) within camp.  Includes a stage with electricity, PA system, fire pit, and flagpole, and benches terraced into hillside.  Covered craft shelter with tables.  Refrigeration room with large capacity storage is located near restrooms.  Fire pit at each campsite.  2-3 picnic tables at each campsite.  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets conveniently located in the camping area.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed within camp (please return unused wood to shed.  Parking within each camp.  Overflow parking nearby.

Riverbend Campsite

Total capacity 100.  Tent sites 1-10.

Tent camping sites for individual, family, or group tent camping.  Campsites 6, 8, and 10 are located along the banks of the Yakima River.  Parking, picnic table, and fire pit at each campsite.  Restroom/shower facility located on Middle Road (short walking distance).  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets at the center of the campsite.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located at woodshed in Ayatma campsite (please return unused wood to shed).

Spring Landing Campsite

Total capacity 50.  Tent sites 1-5.

Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets by Beaver Lodge Island.  Absolutely NO fire allowed in this grassy area.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.

Trillium Campsite

Total capacity 254.  Cabanas 3, 7, 9.  Long Houses 2, 4, 5, 8.  Half Long House 11.  Wall tents 1, 6, 10, 12.

The village is made up of 5 full longhouses (12’x25’; sleeps 30-40), 1 half longhouse (sleeps 14-20) and 5 canvas wall tents (12’x16’ on platforms).  One tent next to each longhouse.  Full longhouses are divided by a 10-foot open-air walkway with built-in sleeping decks and an upper loft accessed by a ladder.  Covered dining/meeting pavilion with electricity and steel picnic tables.  Athletic field adjacent to campsite, with 2 covered craft shelters with tables.  Archery range, platform-type rope swing, and trail access to reflection areas within camp.  Fire pit at each campsite.  2-3 picnic tables at each cluster.  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets conveniently located in the camping area.  Restroom/shower facility located adjacent campsite (accessible by car).  Trash must be bagged and put in a garbage cage.  Haul trash to the nearest dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.  Firewood ($5 an armload; pay at Office) located within camp (please return unused wood to shed).  Large parking area within camp.  Overflow parking nearby.

Yakima Campsite

Total capacity 200.  Tent sites 1-20.  Self-contained trailer or RV in tent sites 9-20.

Tent campsite for individual, family, or group camping.  Sites 1-3 are clustered and isolated from other campsites.  Sites 4-9 are near Big Creek.  Sites 9 and 10 are inland from the Yakima River, and sites 11 -20 border the river.  Sites 1-9 are often flooded until mid-spring.  Enough space for self-contained trailer or RV in most sites, especially #20.  Yakima Meadow adjacent for overflow tent camping.  Parking at each campsite.  Also included is a picnic table.  Absolutely NO fire allowed in this grassy area.   Restroom/ shower facility located at Lodge (short walking distance).  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets conveniently located nearby.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.

Yakima Meadows Campsite

Total Capacity 50.  Tent sites 1-5.

Tent camping sites for individual, family, or group tent camping.  Located next to a paved trail around the lake; short walk to waterfront, canoes, giant slip-n-slide, and lake rope swing.  Parking at each campsite.  Also included is a picnic table.  Absolutely NO fires allowed in this grassy area.  Self-contained trailers and RV allowed.   Restroom/shower facility located at Lodge (short walking distance).  Potable water faucet and portable chemical toilets conveniently located at nearby Yakima campsite.  Trash must be bagged and hauled to the Middle Road dumpster before 7:00 pm daily.

Ice can be bought at the Main Office.

ACTIVITY GEAR

You are able to check out sports gear, canoes, paddle boats, and life preservers at the camp docks.  Camp provided water sports requires a life preserver be worn by all.  Miniature golf supplies can be checked out at the registration desk.  Throwing knives, tomahawks, and archery gear will be provided at their respected ranges for use under staff supervision.

The camp water slide requires socks with rubber grip bottoms to be worn (trampoline park socks, hospital socks, yoga socks, etc.).  Bare feet, aqua socks, and 

crocks are not allowed.  Approved socks will be available to purchase for $1.00 a pair at Ensign Ranch.
